President's letter

20 years ago, I got to know The Business Sector closely when I worked in The Legal Administration at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh. At that time, I moved between several structural departments related to this sector, such as The Department of Commercial Papers, Internal Trade, Commercial Fraud, Trademarks, and the General Administration of Companies, to name but a few, before becoming The Ministry’s Lawyer before the courts. Then, in 2005, I resigned from government work, and founded Alshangiti & Associates Law Firm. Since then, and for over 19 years, I have specialized, hand in hand with my work team, in The Business Sector, dealing with various legal works, with an outcome that is considered high and exceptional among legal service providers.

Today, I decided that the time has come to create a deeper work model within this sector, to focus on serving The Field of Trade and Investment. This step came because a specialized legal service provider for this sector would be the ideal choice for future businesses. Also, in addition to the fact that The Business Sector has a coherent historical vitality and promising future, there is a gap in the specialist providers of this sector with specialized legal services that are compatible and harmonious with the economic reforms that lead local changes and improvements.

What my team and I will work on in this unique step in the profession is to highlight and improve this business model, considering it an exceptional step to confront challenges and achieve professional successes within this promising model. To date, there is still a need for in-depth, value-added legal business models, especially in The Field of Trade and Investment, given the importance of this field in The Business Sector at the local and international levels.

The signs of this step indicate that we are qualified to play this pioneering role in the shift towards specialization by sector. This is because we were and still are proud that Alshangiti & Associates Law Firm is the pioneer of the transformation of the local legal sector towards the corporate business model over the past decade.
